With the use of a provided copier images, you will transfer these onto teabags, rice paper, organza and interesting papers. You will then alter the images as well as combine them into collaged pieces. These fabulous art pieces will then layered with unique tissue papers onto the surface of fabricated paper.
Working the surface again when dry you will find hidden images that you can bring to life with additional colorants. You can bring your own copier images as well. Three lunches will be provided.

BARBARA DIAMOND
Barbara is originally from New York City. She has lived in New Mexico and Colorado her adult life. Trained as a handmade paper artist, she now works in large paper mache sculptures and out of the box collages. An avid collector of papers, bought, found and prepared, she integrates these with fibers and fabrics in her collage pieces.
She has been on faculty at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center's Bemis School of Art for 23 years and teaches at various schools in the vicinity. She has been on faculty at Pikes Peak Community College as well. Barbara has recently been selected to be the Artist-in-Residence through the Makers Program at 21C, the most progressive library center in the Pikes Peak region.
